How do you decide?

How do you decide?

How do you decide where to go when you travel? If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? I've talked before about how a book inspired our trip to Granada Spain (here). But our trip to Bali had a whole different inspiration. Last year our son, Cullen, and his wife, Kathryn, decided to drop everything and travel the world for a year with their two little girls, Isla and Gisele. Kathryn writes about it at darlingletstravel. In preparation for the trip, they asked us to come to Pittsburgh, PA where they were living and help them close Kathryn's women's clothing store and get rid of most of what they own so that they'd be ready to begin their world adventure in January. So we did! They chose to begin their travels in Bali due in part to the kid-friendly reputation that Bali has (and deserves)! After spending several weeks in Pittsburgh and seeing our granddaughters every day, it wasn't hard for us to decide to go to visit them in Bali! We gave them a head start and came to Sanur, Bali after they'd been there for about three weeks while we visited my dad in Missouri and our son and dil and grandchildren in Denver. We spent one week in Sanur and then we all moved to Ubud. We're there a week and they are there until early March.
